Dr. Amy and Dr. Caleb's love story began as friends in graduate school before growing into something more. Although they built their lives together in Michigan, they returned to Oregon to celebrate their wedding surrounded by the natural beauty they love most. Over a three-day weekend, 250 of their closest family and friends gathered to camp, stay in yurts, and witness a heartfelt outdoor celebration that reflected their adventurous spirit and deep connection to nature.
Amy and Caleb wanted a wedding that reflected who they are, not tradition for tradition's sake. Passionate about Ultimate Frisbee and the outdoors, they invited 250 of their closest family and friends to spend a three-day weekend camping, staying in yurts, and celebrating together in nature.
Instead of statement florals, we designed organic centerpieces featuring moss and ferns, inspired by the forests they love. Their family-style dinner celebrated the diversity of their favorite cuisines, bringing together Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Middle Eastern dishes for guests to enjoy around the table.
As the evening unfolded, every guest joined a lively photo dash, gathering by table for portraits with the couple before changing into animal-themed onesies for the dance party. There was even a family of walruses, a T-Rex, and countless other creatures filling the dance floor with laughter. To close the celebration, everyone gathered in one large circle and softly sang a lullaby together, ending the weekend with a moment that was heartfelt, unforgettable, and uniquely Amy and Caleb.
